Every conversion runs on this page, on your device. Nothing you paste, type or open in a tool is uploaded, logged or stored, and file contents never leave your browser. If your Markdown references an image by web address, your browser loads that image from its own host, as any web page would.

What we measure

We use Google Analytics to count page views and which features are used: which tool converted, whether a result was copied or downloaded, which options and views were chosen, and how fast pages load. These events carry tool names, size ranges such as under 10 KB, and on or off settings. They never contain your text, file names or file contents.

Cookies and identifiers

Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_8XD5151VRZ) to tell visits apart. Advertising features, Google signals and ad personalization are turned off, and Google Analytics does not log or store IP addresses. If you sign up by email, this id is sent with your address, so Iternal can connect this browser's visits to it, unless your browser sends Global Privacy Control or has measurement turned off.

Stored on your device

Your theme, line wrap and per-tool option settings are saved in this browser's local storage. Prompts you have seen or dismissed are remembered on this device so they are not shown again for a while, and a completed sign-up is remembered so the prompt does not return. For the current tab only, the time spent on the site and the campaign tags and first page of this visit are kept in session storage. Clearing site data removes all of it.

Email sign-up

If you choose to leave your email in the sign-up prompt, it is sent once to aiformatting.app, which forwards it to Iternal Technologies together with the page you were on, the page you first arrived on, the page you came from, any campaign tags in the address you arrived with, and your Google Analytics client id when one exists. How long this visit has lasted is checked by aiformatting.app and not forwarded. To limit repeated sign-ups, aiformatting.app briefly uses your IP address and a one-way hash of your email address as rate-limit keys; neither is logged or forwarded. Its service log records the outcome of each sign-up and, for an accepted one, Iternal's reference for it, never your address or IP address. Nothing you paste into a tool is included, and aiformatting.app does not store the address. Iternal's privacy policy covers how it is used.

Turning measurement off

Browsers that send Global Privacy Control are not measured. You can also block Google Analytics with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or a content blocker; every tool keeps working.
